Time Keeps on Ticking

Somehow time keeps getting away from me... sigh.  I suppose I should get used to it because from what I heard, time will keep going faster and faster as I age.  It seems like so much has changed over these last couple of weeks that I thought I would give a quick update.

One of the biggest changes has been that Mia now goes to preschool four days a week.  We revised her plan through the developmental preschool and felt that she would benefit more from attending more than once a week.  She now is able to get to know the other kids more, take turns doing the calendar and actually finish art projects.  She also gets to swim on Thursday, which is the highlight of the week.  They take her whole class to the Tri-County school where there is an indoor pool and do some physical therapy in the water.  It has been weird having both Avery and Mia gone in the mornings four days a week.  I miss them, but I have been able to keep up on chores a little better.

Avery started playing soccer a few weeks ago and really loves it.  She scored three goals in her first game, although at this age they don't keep score.  She has a natural talent, if I do say so myself  It has been such wonderful experience for her so far.  Her season runs through mid-June, so we are keeping busy with practices once a week and games on the weekends.

Olivia continues to grow and change daily.  She is almost weened, which has been surprisingly easy for her.  She enjoys her bottles, and I enjoy clearing out our refrigerator of frozen milk.  Although she is still not crawling, you can tell she is getting more and more anxious to move.  When something is out of her reach, she will spread out her legs and lean completely over them, trying to stretch to get it.  Most of the time she ends up on her belly, and then gets frustrated because she can't figure out how to move.  She is getting closer, and when it finally happens, I can only imagine how our lives are going to change.

Chris has been working hard on our landscaping this year, and he has done a fantastic job.  We have never really done much to the front of our house since we moved.  Chris has added a brick-bordered landscaping garden, dug out a leaning tree in the front yard, put flowering bushes and mulch on the sides of the house and has been working on getting our garden tilled for planting.  Needless to say, his weekends are spent outside.  I am so grateful to have such a handy husband!  He truly does a professional job, and he is much cheaper

As for me, I have not had much new going on, other than chasing the girls around and trying to keep my sanity.  I recently chopped all my hair off (about 8-9 inches) to spice things up, but that is about it.
