The girls have been begging me to do tie-dye for quite some time and I finally conceded this last week. For those of you that have done this, the process can be quite messy so we decided to go our dyeing outside. The only problem was it cooled down quickly that evening so we were a little chilled, but we successfully tie-dye two shirts for each of the girls and one for Chris and myself. They all turned out so cute and the girls truly love them.
They were ready to wear today so we all dressed up in our tie-dye and headed on our morning adventure - Trader's Point Creamery! It was just coincidence that we wore our tie-dyed shirts, but I was felt extra hippie today

Nonetheless we had a great time at the farm. We were able to see baby cows, ranging from 6 weeks old to 3 - 4 months. We also got to enjoy the free-range chickens. Yep, they were everywhere and the roosters were a bit aggressive (and loud), but it was fun. We did get to see the 6-week-old calf nursing, which all the kids thought was cool. We were surprised to find that all the mommy cows had horns. We were quite confused by that, but as it turns out both males and females have horns (did you know that?!?) but most farmers cut them off when they are quite young. This farm sees no reason to do it, so they stay. I have only seen clipped cows, so it looked like a small bull with udders. Very interesting.
The best part of the day was the creamery. They make ice cream, yogurt and cheese from their organic milk and it was awesome. So creamy and delicious. We ate ice cream there and I brought yogurt home with us. Yum!

Hey Cheryl -
I live about 5 minutes from Trader's Point Creamery and the restaurant is delish! Every Friday night from 4-8 they have a Farmer's Market and outdoor dinner for adults and kids! It is a blast!
