Let the Garden Season Begin

On Saturday, we kicked off spring by starting our garden.  We decided to plant just about every vegetable, quite a few herbs and even hops (for Chris!) this year.  I have been saving baby food jars for just an occasion, so after shopping for our seeds, we came home and planted what needed to be started indoors.  The girls are so excited about the garden this year (and so are we!!)  I can almost taste a homegrown Indiana tomato.  Since we are suburbanites, our garden is a very long and narrow patch along our fence, but it gets the job done.  Each year, we keep extending it because we need more room.  Us city folks can dream...

By the time we got home from shopping, it was a little cold outside,
so we did our planting on the kitchen floor.

Don't act surprise by my obsessive labeling!
I hear you all laughing
