Let's the Holiday Season Begin
It's been a little while since I have blogged so I have some catching up to do! This last week has been so much fun. We enjoyed two wonderful Thanksgiving dinners with each of our families. And although the meals were fabulous, hanging out with our families was by far my favorite part. Thanksgiving is kind of a lazy holiday and I like that about it because you are supposed to just sit around and talk.
We did not participate in Black Friday this year, but instead we headed to the Children's Museum. We got there early enough in the morning to see Santa arrive. The girls were so excited to see him slide down the Yule Slide. They set off an explosion of "snow" during his arrival and we were all covered in white confetti. The excitement in the kids was so fun. We were able to go down the Yule Slide, visit Santa and play all day. It was a great way to kick off the holidays! The girls both told Santa what they wanted for Christmas. He was an awesome Santa and he explained to the girls that he not only knows want they want, but he knows the best gifts to get the too - the ones they will play the most with in the coming year.

Last night Avery lost her second tooth! She was quite excited and now has a large hole in the bottom of her smile. The Tooth Fairy came through with another dollar. She decided to count all of her money from her Piggy Bank today and take it with us on our adventure to the mall. She was able to buy another Build-A-Bear outfit with her money. She was so proud. All of this has made Chris and I decide we need to start giving the girls a small allowance and teaching them how to save their money for things they want.
And yes, we went to Build-A-Bear today to celebrate Mia's potty training success!!! Yes, that's right, Mia is officially in big girl panties and is doing quite well. We have only been working on it for two weeks now but she has truly done amazing. She picked out a cute black bear today, along with some pajamas. We are so proud of our little Mia. The only challenge is finding panties that fit her tiny little buns.
