Chart Headquaters

Disney, Thumb and Potty - Oh My!  I feel like our house has become an official chart headquarters.

We have a countdown until we leave for Disney.  21 more days!

A No Thumb Sucking chart for Avery.  She has gone almost three days without sucking her thumb.  I am so proud of her.  Last night was rough tough, which included crying, screaming and wailing because she wanted to suck it so bad.  She made it through.  I see more nights like this in our future as she tries to kick this habit.

And coming soon is a Potty Chart for Mia - after we get this "buns" thing resolved.  (Still no word on her tests.)  If anyone has any advice, please let me know.  I am thinking about trying the one-day method where you have the child potty-train a doll, then themselves and then you throw them a big party to celebrate.  Anyone tried that?  Avery was easy to potty train because she wanted to wear big girl panties so bad that I just did it and it happened.  I think I need a more calculated approach for Mia.

After going through potty training with our 3, it is so true that no method works the same for each.... if you are wanting to go the sticker chart route for Mia (maybe to be like BIG sister's chart) I did it for Josh. I broke it down into parts of the day - morning, afternoon and evening, and if he went 5 days "keeping his underware dry" he got something special. Just a thought.... I haven't done the doll thing though.....
