What a Weekend!

Whew, what a weekend!  We kicked off the weekend with a Date Night on Friday.  We decided to go see "Burn Before Reading" at the movie theater.  I would recommend this quirky, funny movie.  Livie was with us and she did pretty good for being in a quite theater.

The next morning we all got up and went to Avery's t-ball game.  It was a beautiful morning to play ball and Avery had a great hit!

In the afternoon, our wonderful friends, the Knights, joined us for dinner.  They live about four hours away so this was a wonderful treat.  Jessalyn is my best friend from college, but we don't get to see them very often.  They have a little girl, Addie, who is 20 months and another one coming in a month or two.  It was cute to watch Addie's reaction to Olivia.  She wanted to hold her at first because I think she thought she was a baby doll.  She wasn't quite sure what to do, but she is about to find out for herself.  As a little surprise, they brought Mia a birthday present.  Jessalyn owns her own business, Junebug Creations, making children's clothing.  She made Mia an adorable long-sleeve t-shirt that has her initial sewed onto cupcake-themed material.  Mia loved it (and so does Mommy!)!  It was a wonderful evening of catching up with our dear friends.  I miss them already.

Then on Sunday, we got up and started packing the car.  My parents came down and watched all the girls (yes, my first time leaving Livie) so we could go tailgating and go to the Colts' game.  We invited our friends, the Reinoso's to go with us and we had a blast hanging out with them.  They are part of our small group and amazing friends.  Deanna kept us entertained with all of her crazy stories and Chris made us all delicious Philly cheese steaks.  The game was an exciting game at the end, but unfortunately, the win slipped through our fingers in the last minute of the game.  Poo!  Oh well, it was a still a fun day.

We got home in time to kiss the girls goodnight.  Livie had done well on my first extended time away.  Chris and I basically collapsed into bed ourselves, exhausted from a busy weekend.
