It's Happening!!!!
After our adventure at the zoo, I packed my bags and headed to the hospital for an overnight with Olivia. I basically had a hotel room down the hall from her NICU room where I could sleep and shower. We wanted to see how she would do nursing for an entire 24-hour period. This meant removing the feeding tube (yeah!) and allowing me to do all of her care. Although I was quite tired, it was kind of relaxing to just sit there and be with her the entire time. It made me miss her even more once I went home. And of course, Olivia did great with the overnight. She ate like a champ, gained weight and didn't have any brady episodes. Of course we were anxious to talk to the doctor about getting her home and today the doctor said that she can probably come home either Wednesday or Thursday! We are so excited and scurrying around the house trying to get last minute things done. Somehow I have in my mind that this is my last chance to organize and get the house cleaned (which I really haven't done since I got home!!!). I feel my stress-level rising and I am not really sure why I am getting all crazy right now. I should be breathing a sigh of relief. I hope that comes once she is actually home because right now I feel like I am on overdrive and that somehow after all this time, we are not ready. Silly, I know. I suppose it is "nesting" but I would call this version "nesting on crack." Someday our lives will settle down.... ha-ha. I just keep telling myself that

Praise the Lord! We have all prayed for this week to come, and know that your family is more than ready. May God be with you, and please remember to relax in His care - He will give you all the strength you need to discern what needs to be done, and get you through your days! I'm so excited for all of you!!!!!

Look at those cheeks, would ya! She's just beautiful and I'm SOOOO excited she will be coming home so soon. We are continuing to pray for her strength (and for your sanity). This will be such an amazing experience bringing her home to her big sisters and getting her used to life as a Troxel. Yay!
