Today was a wonderful day, filled with lots of fun surprises!  My sister-in-law, Jess, threw me a 30-Week Gestation Party today at the hospital.  It was so much fun!  We had it in one of the more private lobby rooms, with tons of sunshine shining down on us through the skylight windows.  It was decorated with "30"s stuff, complete with balloons and a banner that read "Cheryl & Olivia - 30 Weeks Strong!"  Jess had made brunch foods and smoothies (my request!) and it tasted wonderful to have some home cooked food.  I totally gorged myself  Jess had come up with a little quiz game about some of my favorite TV shows for everyone to do.  It was funny to see how much I knew compared to a "normal" TV watcher.  The quiz was based on The Today Show, Ellen, Ace of Cakes, Oprah, Jon & Kate Plus 8, Everybody Loves Raymond and Friends.  I probably watch every one of these every day.  Everyone had brought me gifts, including some crafts for the girls so that they have more fun stuff to do during visits.  I have to admit I felt completely spoiled!  I got to spend over 2 hours outside of my room, surrounded by friends and family, good food and gifts!  Chris and the girls got there at the end to enjoy some of the festivities.

Then to top it off, food service set up a steak dinner for Chris and I for lunch.  They have been trying to have this dinner for us to apologize for some issues a few weeks ago.  I kept putting it off because the last thing I really wanted was steak hospital.  But they truly did a wonderful job, complete with a vase of flowers and sparkling grape juice.  I saved mine for dinner since I had just over-indulged in brunch but Chris was able to enjoy his.  Who knew hospitals had steak?

Afterward I came back to the room and Jess had put all my presents away, hung up my cards and organized the girls new crafts.  She knows me too well, because this was a perfect ending to the party for me  Ha-ha!  The girls and Chris stayed for awhile.  It was getting later in the afternoon and the girls and I snuggled in my bed, while Chris took a nap on the couch.  It was relaxing and wonderful to snuggle up with both of the girls.  Again, totally spoiled today!  After everyone left, I crashed for about two hours.  I haven't had that much activity in over six weeks, and boy was I tired. 

Jess got me two quite unique gifts - an envelope with a quote for the day and a mason jar filled with scrolls that have an activity for the day.  So, I have those to look forward to each day!
