Hammer-time!
Other than humoring myself (and Chris) with silly commercials, I also caught something on TV about jails. Here is what I learned. Again, humor me for a second:
- People in jail get to shower every other day. I get to shower twice a week.
- People in jail do not have to be handcuffed. I have to be tethered to an IV pump all the time.
- People in jail have social time several times a day. I have social time only when people visit.
- People in jail have access to a library, exercise and educational classes. I have access to a TV.
- People in jail only get stuck with a needle is they are sick or crazy. I get stuck with a needle at least twice a week (although maybe that is because I am going crazy!)
Granted there are a lot of other differences that are in my favor (like I get to see my children!), but this is my feeble attempt at bed rest humor. I am sure you are all worried about my mental health at this point![]()
Actually today was a pretty good day. Chris was able to work from the hospital and it is always nice to have a chance to catch up on everything and spend some time together. There was a little strawberry festival going on here today so we gorged ourselves on strawberries and ice cream. I also was able to have another massage this afternoon. Ahh! Then to top it off, the food service manager came to apologize for some recent issues and treated me to a mocha frappachino. Now that's an apology! So, although I probably gained 5 pounds today with my delicious treats, but I can't say that I feel too bad about it.

Ok, I must not watch enough TV because I hadn't seen that commercial! I died laughing...and it just brought back the memory of you doing the "hammer dance" at FC back in the day :0 I also LOVED your jail comparison...at least you won't have to appear in court one day to see if you'll have to go back to "jail"
