One of my wonderful friends, Andrea, came to the hospital today for a visit.  Besides having a nice time chatting and catching up, she brought me a little gift.... a Webkinz.  I didn't really know much about these, but Andrea filled me in a little.  It is basically a stuffed animal that comes with a code that allows you to become part of a virtual world online with your pet.  You can dress your pet, feed them, play games, get a job, etc.  You start off with some Webkinz money to purchase things, but then after that you have to earn money. 

Anyway, I logged in this afternoon, a named my ever-so-cute kangaroo, LivieRoo, and started checking out my virtual world.  When the girls came tonight it was a big hit, especially with Avery.  We played it the entire visit  We extinguished our Webkinz money buying clothes, food, a table, a chair, and a toy for our new little pet, along with arranging LivieRoo's room.  So, in my free time, I will be playing the games and "working" so that when the girls come in they have Webkinz money to spend.  Besides spending money, you can also go to the doctor, chat with other Webkinz pets and exercise (to increase your health!).  Thank you, Andrea, for such a wonderfully cute gift!!
