List of the Missed

Chris and I were talking last night about how many things I have either missed or haven't done while on bed rest.  He was changing Mia's diaper and it dawned on us that after four and half years of diapers, I have had a little break from this task.  It was kind of amazing to think about so I thought I would make this list and then update it in a few weeks.  This is just a little something to humor the bored...

  • Price of gas was $3.80 when I started bed rest, but now it is $4.05 (so I have heard on the news!)
  • I missed my brother's graduation and dinner at Maggiano's afterward.
  • I have missed 2 MOPS meetings.
  • I have missed 4 church services and 4 small group Bible studies.
  • I have missed approximately 150 diaper changes.
  • I have missed 48 meals with my family.
  • I have missed 5 of Avery's ballet practices.
  • I have missed 3 of Mia's home PT therapies and 4 hippotherapies.
  • I missed Avery's last day of school picnic.
  • I have missed approximately 6 trips to the grocery.
  • I have not drove a car for over 30 days.
  • I have not done approximately 30 loads of laundry.
  • I have missed giving the girls approximately 15 baths. (Chris and I share this responsibility and each only did this every other night!)
  • I have not dusted, swept, disinfected or done any cleaning for at least 16 days.
  • I have missed 32 loads of dishes in and out of the dishwasher.
  • I have not showered 12 days that I would have liked to.
  • I have done approximately 44 Sudoku puzzles.
  • I have watched approximately 184 hours of TV.
  • I have read approximately 1,000 pages in books.
  • I have read 6 books of the Bible.
  • I have painted my nails 3 times and my toenails 2 times.
  • I have had approximately 870 grams of magnesium sulfate pumped through my veins.
  • I missed a Going Away party for my wonderful friend, Sarah, and her family.  They are moving to China this week.
  • I have spent 17 nights away from my husband and not in my own bed.

This list could go on and on.....

Cheryl, I've been reading your blog and have been thinking about you a BUNCH. I hate it that you have to go through all of this but I know that a healthy baby is your ultimate goal and worth anything.

You have been and remain in my thoughts and prayers. Hang in there, kiddo, and know that you are loved by many.

With tons of love from your FAVORITE Aunt!!

Thanks, Aunt Sandy!  I appreciate your thoughts and prayers.  Hopefully all of this drama will be over soon and both Olivia and I can go home, recover and be with our family!
