A Weekend of Friends

This past weekend we had the extreme pleasure of having my best friend, Jessalyn, along with her husband and 1-year-old, Addie, come and stay with us for the entire weekend.  It was great.  They live about four hours away, so usually when they are here, it is a whirlwind trip for them, trying to see everyone from the Indy area.  (Jessalyn and I met in college so she still has quite a few friends up here).  Anyway, we got them all to ourselves and it was so nice.  We didn't really do anything crazy, but having the chance to hang around and chat was more than I could have asked for.  I miss my dear friend, and constantly wish we lived closer.  Although, it might be dangerous if we did.  We both love to sew.  In fact, Jessalyn (who is way more talented than I) owns her own business, Junebug Creations, making beautiful children's clothing (check it out at http://www.junebug-creations.blogspot.com/).  We just might spend our entire time at fabric stores and in our sewing rooms.  We also both love being stay-at-home moms and the fun and challenges that brings.  We both will have even more excitement this year because she is also pregnant.  It's kind of funny because when Jessalyn and I met as college freshman I was not really into the idea of being married and having babies, and Jessalyn simply couldn't wait.  Ahh, how things change.  It turns out I got married and started having babies while Jessalyn searched for her soul mate.  And she found him.  Her husband is fantastic and I am so glad she endured the search - haha!

Anyway, it was a wonderful weekend with wonderful friends.  Thanks you so much, Chris, Jessalyn and Addie.  We can't wait to do it again.  We love you!
