Earthquake, Hospitals and Ice Cream, Oh My!
First off, the big news this morning has been the earthquake. Yes, we definitely felt the earthquake and it was quite weird. It was a little before 6 a.m. and Bogey started huffing and puffing around the room. I tend to ignore her because she does this for about every little noise she hears. But something about it sounded different so I sat up in bed thinking one of the girls was up and ready to walk into the room. Then I felt the bed shaking, which is about the time Chris woke up. I thought I was imagining it or that Bogey was under the bed wagging her tail (ridiculous I know but it was early) but then I could hear things on our dressers moving too. It stopped and I went to try to go back to sleep while Chris started his day. I kept thinking I must be losing my mind to think the house was shaking, but Chris bounded back up the stairs a few minutes later to tell me it was all over the news. Crazy. I didn't know Indiana even had earthquakes.
Besides the earthquake, this week has been quite exciting. I was back in the hospital Tuesday and Wednesday for that darn kidney again. This time though I had a bad reaction to the oral pain killers so I had to take them via IV, which means I couldn't leave the hospital until I could survive without pain killers. Although they treated me for an infection, the doctor still thinks I have a kidney stone issue. The bads news: nothing can be done because I am pregnant. So until I pass them on my own (yikes!), I have to keep going to the hospital for drugs every time they flare back up. Awesome! Hopefully things will calm down. The scariest part is that they thought I was starting to dialate (which is way too early!), but the next morning they said everything was ok and the reading the night before was human error. Whew! Needless to say, Chris had some long days trying to take care of the kids, fit in a little work, and keep up with the housework. He did a wonderful job but I think he was ready to head back to the office - haha!
Here a few pictures from the last week as well. We love ice cream in the spring

Ice cream with Mamaw during our Spring Break visit.

Who doesn't love a good spaghetti picture? Mia loves her "spetti."

Our first ice cream truck experience. The truck drove by us so we chased him down.
Avery loved it and can't wait to do it again. They picked out bubblegum-flavored Popsicles.

Chris has been working hard this week to install a new screen in our backyard. We plan on growing some ivy on it to give us more privacy when we are outside on the porch. I love it and he did an awesome job with it! Thanks, sweetie!

I felt the quake, too. But my mutt slept right through it.
