Highlights for the Blog Addict

Here are some highlights from the last couple of days.  (Yes, I am cheating but I hate to not blog...)

1.  Enjoying the slower pace of Avery being on Spring Break!  Avery has really missed school and ballet though.

2.  Being called the "worstest mom in the whole world" right after being told "I love you so much!"  Ahh, the ups and downs of parenting.

3.  Going to the zoo and enjoying the beautiful weather.  Mia even petted a shark for the first time.  It scared her and she screamed a little and then two sharks stuck their heads above water and looked at her, which was about a foot from her face.  She turned to me and said "Mommy, I scared of those big sharks."  She recovered fast.

4.  Watching Avery show Mia all the zoo animals.  She held Mia's hand and showed her the way.  It melted my heart to see them loving each other in such a sisterly way.  Avery is an amazing big sister, if I haven't already mentioned that.

5.  Playing outside as much as possible!  The girls even helped Chris dig a trench in the backyard tonight (to fix a drainage issue.)  You would have thought it was the best activity in the world.  They said they were digging a hole to Egypt.

6.  Hearing the baby's heartbeat again.  Looks like my c-section will be schedule sometime between August 8 - 12th.  Woo - hoo.  That means that I only have about 17 more weeks.  I am over the hump!  We are pulling for the 8th because it is a Friday and it is Chris' mom's birthday.  It would be kind of special

7.  Watching Mia try to stand on her horse during therapy.  Yep, you read it right... stand.  Can you imagine how hard that must be?  She does not like it at all but their goal is that she could stand on the horse with only support at her ankles while the horse walks.  Amazing stuff.

8.  Spending $6 at Walgreen's but saving $17 on the same purchase.  Yep, my grocery gaming is becoming quite fun.  Sticking to our new budget it more of a game now.  I must win!
