I thought I would share a cute story.  Avery and I were in the car heading home from preschool today and we were talking about what she learned.  They have been talking about the Christmas story at school and today they talked about Elizabeth, Zachariah and baby John, along with Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus.  All of this talk of babies prompted the question: "Mom, when can I have a baby?"  I explained that you had to be married.  And to be married you have to find a man that you would love for the rest of your life.  She sat quietly for a second then responded, "Ok, I will marry Natey then.  (For those that don't know, this is Uncle Natey.)  I giggled a bit, but she went on to say in a very serious tone, "Or perhaps Daddy or my baby brother."  I got a kick out of that one.  She has talked of a baby brother for over a year now ever since I bought some baby boys clothes at a garage sale.  She has it all planned out. 

Then later today Avery asked me what my job was.  I explained to her that my job was to be a mom and a wife.  She didn't understand because to her, I don't have a job.  I went on to tell her that I used to work with computers, making pictures and web sites.  I told her how I quit my job to stay home and be a mom and that I love what I do.  I told her it is the best job in the world.  She thought for a moment then replied, "Mom, I am glad you decided to be a mommy."  Melted my heart right there.
