Quiet Time Festivities
Today I spent Quiet Time (aka Nap Time) making these lovely reversable circles. Can you guess what they are?

I have been doing some research (who me?) on time-outs. We have tried several different time-out procedures with Avery. We have done the stairs, only to have her test how much she can move around and up and down them. We have tried the chair in the kitchen, but she would distract us if she got a time-out while we were eating. We have even tried time-outs in her room, only to find her playing. So, today I made time-out mats. These are pretty straight-forward - butt must be planted on the circle. I made two, one for downstairs and one for upstairs. Ahh, the joys of motherhood... I knew my sewing skills would come in handy someday. Ha-ha!

Love it! I'm sure I will have to "borrow" this idea someday!
