Happy Birthday, Mia!
I cannot believe it, but Mia is officially two-years-old today. I love the girls birthdays. It reminds me of all the special days I shared as a child. I hope my girls will have the same wonderful memories
We celebrate her big day on Sunday with a party at Cool Creek Park. It tuned out to be a beautiful day (a little hot even). Mia was so excited to have all of her friends and family there. I have included some pictures below from the party.
Today I wanted to do something special even though we already celebrated. After dropping off Avery at preschool, Mia and I headed to Dunkin' Donuts. She was so excited about "DO-nuzz!" She picked out a chocolate one and ate every last bite. She really wanted my coffee (yes, she loves coffee!), but I had to stop the spoiling somewhere
She also entertained the whole place by dancing to the disco music they had playing. Everyone stopped by to say hello to her. Even though she is quite shy, she ate it up. We usually run errands or have therapy when sissy is at school, so I think she enjoyed having time to just goof off with Mommy. Then we headed to the Chrisitan bookstore where she watched Veggie Tales while I picked up a little gift she can open tonight after dinner. Since we already had cake (and we certainly don't need anymore, especially after donuts), I think I am going to make some pudding cups that I can stick a candle in - yummy and nutritious. Haha! (For those of you wondering, Mia is not on a the strict no-milk diet anymore. We have kept her on soy milk, but have reintroduced other milk products and she is doing great. Sometimes I am still amazed that she will actually eat now!)
And so, my youngest is officially a toddler! Yikes! Here's to the Terrific Twos!

Mia's "Hunny" pot cake.
It was so hot for her party, that it was a gooey mess by the time we ate it.

Avery and Sierra are ready for the party to begin.

Mia enjoys lunch with Pamaw and Mamaw.

Did you know there are Heffalumps at Cool Creek Park?
Luckily, these super sleuths found them all and kept us safe!

Mia blows out the candle on her "melted" cake.
She blew so light, it took her several tries to get a puff big enough to blow it out.

Mia opens her gifts. She was so excited about all of her new toys.
Thanks to everyone for making Mia's birthday so great!

Trust me, we are nothing without God. We just feel blessed He entrusted us with little Mia. She has come such a long way and each battle and struggle has not been met without feelings of doubt and discouragment. But with each hurdle, we rejoice! Thank you for your continued love, encouragment and sometimes being a sounding board through all of this. You have an amazing trust in God that I have seen through your emails. Perhaps we were meant to be connected like this...
