First Day of Preschool
This morning was filled with excitement as Avery headed back to preschool. She has missed this so much over the summer that she could not wait to go back. When she woke up and I reminded her that today was the day, she went running through the house screaming "I'm going to school! Yeah!" While we were sitting in the car line, she could hardly contain her excitement as the teachers started unloading the cars. She loves school! Unfortunately all of her friends from last year are no longer in her class, but already Avery has made new friends.

Avery only goes to preschool twice a week from 9 - 11:30 am. When I went to pick her up her teacher, Ms. Vicky, told me that Avery continued to give compliments to her friends all day and let the teachers know when someone had made a "good choice." Last year the teachers called Avery the "'Class Cheerleader." It sounds like she is resuming this role in her new classroom. She has the gift encouragement, that is for sure.
As a side note, while we were waiting in the car line, Avery and I were talking about school and going over some rules of the classroom. I turned around to see what Mia was doing, and apparently Mia learned a little something new today as well.

Oh my goodness...Avery is going to be every teacher's dream! I love the pictures, especially the booger-pickin' pose!
